He is swimming varsity as a sophmore! So, Josh has only been out of his cast for a few weeks now. His swim season is going great! Yesterday's swim meet went well. His first race on Varsity and he placed 3rd! He's a stud! He swam a 50 free in 25 seconds!

This is going to be fun...

A lot has been happening since the new year!

Josh got his drivers permit, he also broke his ankle and had to have surgery, Jenee went on pointe shoes, Jared saved someones life, Jackie turned 18! Jaden is enjoying her friends!Crazy life we lead!

We took a trip up to Big Bear Mountain last Jan. We rented a cabin and by the time we got up the hill, went to the grocery store and found the cabin it was about 11:30 p.m. At about 8:30am the kids went outside to go sledding. Josh was getting ready for his 3rd run and the sled started moving... he was heading straight for a tree. It was going to either be his head or his foot...he choose his foot. We are glad he was "using his head" lol. By 9:00am the very next morning, we were driving Josh to the ER. We hadn't even been there for 12 hours! It turns out Josh had to have two screws put in to hold everything in place so his ankle joint would heal correctly. He is doing well. Luckily his swim season was just starting so when he got his cast off he was able to rehab in the pool!

Jenee is enjoying her pointe class. She was recently told that she will be the opening number for her Ballet recital this year! She loves her ballet teacher! (and her teacher loves her)

Jared really did save someones life! When Jared and Josh arrived at our gym they noticed only one other person was there, a man walking on a tredmil. About 30 min later, Josh noticed this man was groaning on the floor. Jared quickly yelled to Josh to call 911 and Jared assested the man and immediatly began CPR (compressions only) something Jared had just read about one week prior. Jared did CPR for about 12+ min. until the parametics arrived. The parametics worked on him for about 17 min until they finally took him away to a nearby hospital. This man had not had a heart beat in 30 min. Jared did all he could to helpthe man and the paramedics. The next morning, Sunday, Jared called the hospital to find out if the man survived... after explaning to the nurse who he was, she checked and came back to the phone and said he was alive! Jared continued to call the hospital each day. On Monday when Jared called he was told Garth was in ICU and on life support. On Tuesday he was told he was still on life support, but they were going to try to take him of the life support. On Wednesday Jared called again (not knowing if he survived or had any brain damage) and was told he was no longer in ICU and the nurse transfered the call to a different floor. When the nurse on that floor answered the call, Jared once again had to explain who he was and asked about his status? She said she couldn't tell him, because of privacy laws, but she could transfer him to this man's room. The man answered the phone! Jared explained that he was at the gym with his son, the night of his "episode" and asked if he knew what had happened? The man said.... "of course I do, I was walking on the tredmil and had a heart attack!" This was one of the happiest days of Jared's life! We met him that wednesdayduring Jared's lunch hour and visited with him several other times while he was in the hospital. He had to have triple bypass sergury and is doing well. He has come to our house for Sunday dinners and we look forward to the many years ahead with our new friend Garth!

Jackie turned 18 on April 2nd! She celebrated her birthday by having a joint party with two of her best friends Tressa and Brittany. They had over 100 guests. They danced, played volleyball, and the new Rock Star game. The cops even came! (because the music was too loud). It was a success! They said it's not a good party unless the cops come!

Jaden enjoys being with firends! Everyday is a party. She loves playing outside. She is also reading a lot! She will start a chapter book one day and finish it the next day! She is also a very good helper.
